BATAM - Church camp

HIHI, I just came back today at 6pm from BATAM!!! The wholechurch camp was really enriching and great! :D The whole camp, I was mainly with Cherilyn (a yr older than me). Also Amanda :), Isabella and Edlyn + my sister... (all younger than me...). Okay, the journey was not long! YAY! Ferry- an hour, bus- half an hour. Yeah, we took a bus to Batam Center and kind of did our shopping and had lunch there. It was fun! Edlyn came with my family. I ate tigether with Joanna, Tian Hui, Edlyn, Rui Jun and my sister. Ya, I bought I sports shirt!!! :):):) smilez... Later, we took another half hour bus journey to our accommodation. It was HOLIDAY INN BATAM! Beautiful!!! :) There was a huge swimming pool, lap pool, gymnasium, table tennis area, beautiful eating areas AND nice hotel rooms!!! 4201, my room number, block 4. Isabella and Rui Jun+ Joanna were in block 1. Cherilyn, Amanda and Edlyn were in block 3. The food was so delicious, buffet style. During the sermon, I sat with Cherilyn (I did with all 5 sermons though), while my other friends went for the kids programme. The message brought by Pastor Kai, was a little hard to pick up, but really good. :) I went swimming the 2nd day, andI also went to Auntie Linda's room to learn to make costume jewellery. Earings mainly... I loved it and enjoyed it so much... so did Cherilyn... :) We went back at about 11 plusand by then, my sister was already asleep... :X The third day was the BEST!!! Cherilyn and a few of the other adults and youths, went to the youth camp side, which they were helping in a school in BATAM... It was quite a good experience. BUT, we were really, really treated like celebrities... The students wanted us to take pictures with them, write our home and handphone no, and email address. I was really reluctant to give my telephone numbers. Yeah, the students were really friendly, they could remember our names, that was the most touching part... oh yeah, then the funniest thing was the journey only took 4 minutes. Aunty Weng Ying told us 45 min, she heard 45 min when the bus driver said 4 to 5 minutes. HAHA! So, I was supposed to miss the jewellery making workshop that's why I went the day before... But, we came back earlier than expected... So we had a lot of time to make more earings! I made 6 all together... Finally, I learnt how to make... :):):) So happy... :D It was funn!!!!! That night, I slept over at Isabella's room with Amanda and Edlyn... It was quite nice... Kristel did not join as she wanted to have 2 beds to herself... Okay, I was the last to sleep (arnd 2.30 am)- Batam time which is Singapore's 3.30 am... I was sandwiched inbetween Amanda and Edlyn... :) Yeah, the last day (4th day) we had the last sermon and we checked out at 11.45am. And after lunch, we left. It was a good trip... A break through for me... :) :) :)
